Thinking about visiting a Chiropractor? Here are some quick basic facts of how you may benefit!

The What:

As Chiropractors, our primary focus is to reduce the amount of stress and tension your body
holds. This can be a result of poor posture, sedentary lifestyles, repetitive stress and actions, or
also mental/emotional stress. And of course, some of those bigger injuries such as lifting
accidents, or trips and falls.

One of the main ways we do this is by assessing and restoring proper movement through the
joints of your body allowing you to move more efficiently. By restoring proper joint motion, it
allows the rest of your body to to feel better and puts less tension on other structures such as
muscle, tendons and ligaments.

Is Chiropractic for you?

This depends! In most cases, chiropractic can benefit the vast majority of people ranging all
ages. Whether you’ve had an acute injury and hurt your low back or neck for example. Or if
you’ve been dealing with nagging ongoing discomfort for many months or years. Chiropractic is
a great avenue to explore to help with not only pain relief, but to also learn how to make
improvements to prevent future injuries.

The Approach!

Just like anything in life, there are many ways that certain things can be done or approached
from different angles. This is very similar when it comes to Chiropractic.

The approach we use at The Chiro Culture is one that is very holistic, patient centered and most
importantly works around you and your goals!

  • The Initial assessment is our first visit to learn more about your history, lifestyle and
what you are hoping to achieve through chiropractic care. This visit is typically 30-40
minutes and includes a thorough history, comprehensive functional assessment
including posture, muscle strength and coordination along with other tests. You will also
receive your first adjustment on this visit given there are no contraindications or red
    flags.
  • The Second visit is typically just a few days after your first visit and is about 20 minutes
long. On this visit, we will check in with any questions you may have and address some
of the major areas of focus. This is where we will come up with an action plan that best
suits your needs which will cover treatment frequency along with specific home care
exercises to best help reach your goals. You will also most definitely get adjusted!

Following these first few visits, your follow up visits will be primarily focused on restoring proper
joint function through adjustments and exercise check ins. Healing is a journey and we
understand there are ups and downs, but the more consistent you are with care and following
recommendations, the better the results will be!

The Techniques!

Quite often when we hear the term chiropractor, we tend to associate it with lots of twisting,
popping and cracking. Now this isnt always the case!

Like other services out there, there are many techniques that The Chiro Culture offers, and
many of them are gentle and low force techniques without any pops or noises.

  • Ie: Drop table techniques & Activator Methods

The goal as mentioned previously is to help reduce tension through various structures in our
body allowing more optimal movement and communication within the body.

This allows for reduced pain, increased mobility, improved posture along with many other
benefits!

If you have been hesitant to try chiropractic because of the more traditional approach, please
know that there are other options available that can be very beneficial! This is also for those
who may have not had a first great experience, please feel free to give chiropractic another
chance in helping you work towards your health goals!
